We grew up in an artistic, tech-filled home, where both visual design and programming became an early fascination. As middle-schoolers in the late '90s, the Internet was the perfect playground. We built websites for friends and family, including our Dad’s medical practice—and even got paid for some.
After our college years, it became clear that websites were intimidating for many organizations, and many looked abysmal for visitors. How were these sites doing any good for people?
We picked up books by designers Hillman Curtis and Milton Glaser, and following our self-employed father's example, set out to build a company.
In 2014, after years of work at other organizations and numerous freelance projects, we started Full Windsor. Our sole purpose is to make friendly experiences for website managers and their site visitors.
We strive to keep an empathetic mindset while working with our clients and in executing work that serves our clients’ audiences.
We think that design must first serve a message and secondarily delight the viewer. In this way, the best design transcends mere communication and provides an aesthetic experience.
We seek to engage in deep play by remaining curious, experimental, and accepting. We’ve seen this open-mindedness lead to exciting, unexpected, and outside-the-box solutions.
Full Windsor created a site that perfectly represents my business. As a woman who organizes for a living and teaches others to simplify, I wanted and needed a no nonsense, aesthetically clean and pleasing site. That is exactly what I got! – Lauren Hiser
